Take Back Friday

#TakeBackFriday is a remarkable campaign, founded by Rapanui and Teemill, to reduce excess consumption so that the returned products will be remade and repurposed into new pieces.

80% of purchases bought over the Black Friday weekend will end up in landfill or incinerated. Less than 1% of the world’s clothes are recycled back into new clothes once they are worn out.

These are symptoms of a bigger issue; of the take-make-waste economy of business as usual.
